In India’s rural regions, where educational resources are often limited, access to quality education has the power to change lives. This project works to bridge the urban-rural education divide, aiming to equip children in government schools in rural areas with the knowledge and skills they need to build better futures for themselves and their communities. Using technology as catalysts for change, this initiative engages youth volunteers and utilizes digital tools to make quality education a reality for every child.
With a focus on improving learning outcomes, academic performance, confidence, and employability, the foundation tackles critical issues such as the education deficit, the digital divide, and the lack of 21st-century job skills in rural India. The socio-economic gap is deepening, creating a learning crisis in global education, and in India, this divide is felt acutely in rural areas. Differences in curriculum quality, educational funding, and access to digital resources put rural students at a disadvantage compared to their urban counterparts. Alarming dropout rates further underscore the need: nearly 29% of children in rural India, especially in Rajasthan, leave primary school early, affecting their chances for higher education and skill development.
Since its inception, the foundation has driven change in Rajasthan’s rural districts, covering over 100 government schools and impacting more than 60,000 students. Programs include STEM learning, digital assessment, exam preparation and digital literacy training customised to each school including coding, IoT, and robotics.
This initiative stands as a beacon for children in Rajasthan’s Barmer, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, and Pali districts, transforming their interest and exposure in education and creating opportunities for thousands of young children.
